HILLSBORO, Ore. (KATU) — The Vancouver Canadians showed why they are the Northwest League’s top scoring offense Tuesday night, putting up 10 runs in the second inning for a 15-4 win over the Hillsboro Hops. The Canadians hit three doubles during the onslaught to put this one out of reach early. Ben McGloughlin and Kevin Sim finished with multiple hits for Hillsboro, but that did little to slow down a Vancouver squad that came up with 12 hits and drew 13 walks. The Hops sent six pitchers to the mound – only Jorge Minyety lasted more than two innings. The teams meet up against at 7 p.m. Wednesday in British Columbia.
