Is your toddler too big for a pack 'n play? Check out hiccapop's portable blow-up mattress for when you're traveling with your tot!

A few months ago, before the coronavirus interrupted everyone's travel plans, my husband and I squeezed in a trip to Disney with our 2-year-old. We knew that a pack 'n play wouldn't cut it, but we also knew he wasn't ready for an actual bed yet. Plus, we were sharing accommodations with my family, so there weren't any extra beds to be had.

Fortunately, in preparation for our trip, I started researching alternatives before Christmas and put hiccapop's inflatable toddler travel bed with safety bumpers on my son's Amazon wish list. The adorable, lightweight, portable bed comes in four different colors and currently ranges in price on Amazon from $58 to $63. The chocolate brown was listed for only $49.99 back in the fall, so definitely keep checking prices if you don't need it right away.

Their product description on their website states that their portable blow-up mattress is perfect for home, grandma's house, camping, or vacation. It's backed by a lifetime guarantee and comes with an XL travel bag and electric turbo pump, allowing you one less thing to worry about when packing.

"hiccapop’s inlay-enforced™ vinyl is 40% thicker than its nearest competitor, making it virtually puncture-proof. Reinforced weld-seams and a heavy duty air valve ensure against air leakage. And our velvet flocked mattress is the smoothest in its class, so your little one can sleep more soundly," states hiccapop.com

To be honest, I didn't know what to expect when we took it out of the box and blew it up for the first time. Our son had never slept in anything other than a crib or pack 'n play, and he greatly preferred the crib. Fortunately, he laid my fears to rest pretty quickly. He happily laid down on the seemingly comfortable mattress and slept through the night. We were at The Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort for two nights, and the first night was not a fluke! He slept soundly two nights in a row, granted he was probably exhausted, but still, I wholeheartedly recommend hiccapop's transitional bed.

It's also 25 percent taller and 25 percent longer than its nearest competitor and can hold up to 300 pounds, so you should be able to use this travel bed for years to come.
