The 2018 Around the World Cultural Food Festival will be the perfect opportunity to taste food and experience traditions from cultures all over the world! WHEN: Saturday, June 16, 2018 | 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. WHERE: The Washington Monument | 2 15th Street NW, Washington, D.C., 20024 (the corner of Constitution Avenue NW and 15th Street NW) COST: FREE | A range of VIP tickets can be purchased, which will include shorter wait times for vendors and some freebies | There is also an option to donate $10 per family in support of the festival. The Around the World Cultural Food Festival is back this June for its third year. The mission of the festival is to
“preserve and strengthen the culture of each country while presenting it to the public throughout the course of this event and give all the participants a chance to learn from one another and understand the cultural differences and similarities.”There will be plenty of opportunities to wander around and get to know the cultures you’ve been fascinated by, as well as discover some new ones. Food vendors will be present, selling a taste of their country’s finest cuisine, and there will be cooking, dance, and art demonstrations. For the first time, the festival will incldue a fashion show, and attendees are encouraged to wear something from their native country and participate in the event. You’ll also be able to shop for new, international pieces to add to your home, without ever leaving Washington, D.C.! You can learn more about to what to expect here. It’s important to note that this festival is expecting around 15,000 people; plan accordingly, dress comfortably, and be ready to be surrounded by people.
