Whether you want to try your luck in the casino or enjoy the resort amenities, the MGM can keep anyone entertained and is something most would be surprised to see in Maryland.

Artist J. Seward Johnson Jr.’s five-piece cast iron sculpture is a thirty-five-year-old artwork that depicts an iron giant emerging from sand. This mystifying piece of artwork was transplanted from its original location near the Jefferson Memorial in 2008. The artwork is quite impressive and something that visitors are not likely to forget.

The National Harbor is known as a resort of sorts, out of town visitors and locals alike can enjoy the pampering of the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center. Tanger Outlets has lots of great deals and cool stuff for shoppers. The dozens of stores include a Polo Ralph Lauren outlet, Michael Kohrs, Toys R Us, Kitchen Collection, a Brooks Brothers outlet and Swarovski. No matter what you need or want, Tanger Outlets is a prime shopping destination and certain to have something for everyone. There is also a shuttle that you can take from the river up the hill to the shops.

Water Taxis depart from National Harbor and can take you to destinations such as the National Mall or Mount Vernon, you also can see the cherry blossoms or catch the sunset on the water in the Harbor’s charter vessels. The Charters include the Cherry Blossom, which is a stern-wheeler riverboat that provides an ideal way to sightsee. The Odyssey cruise, meanwhile, has a dance floor while family and luxury tour boats also operate at and from the Harbor.
Summer Concert Series
The National Harbor’s Summer Concert series, just like its Movie nights, are free. The concert series is Friday nights and host to some of the best National and local acts from May to September. There's nothing like listening to live music under the stars down by the river.
In addition to the things mentioned here, National Harbor has top notch fine dining restaurants you can enjoy in the resort’s riverside setting. The Old Hickory Steakhouse and Walrus Oyster Alehouse are solid choices to eat in the moonlight, as also is the Crab Cake Café and the many other dining options.
