BINGHAMTON, NY (WBNG) -- The defending back-to-back Commissioner’s Cup champs lost a key piece to its title runs in the 2025 FPHL Expansion draft. Defenseman Don Olivieri is headed to Topeka after being selected in the draft by the Scarecrows.

The blueliner played for Binghamton in parts of the last three seasons, and in all of the teams playoff games. The “Donfather” scored 48 goals in the regular season, and another 9 in the playoffs, over 3 seasons in the Southern Tier.

Olivieri finished 2024-2045 with a combined 23 goals and 29 assists in 43 games played.

Also headed to the Midwest from the expansion draft is rookie forward Christopher Mott. The first year skater is a SUNY Morrisville graduate. He was signed by earlier this spring to the Black Bears roster.
