One of Ocean City's favorite movie theaters, the Fox Gold Coast, received major upgrades, including new seating (in the form of heated recliners!).
When you think of Ocean City, movie theaters probably aren't the first thing to enter your head! Instead, you picture the beach, the Boardwalk, the nightlife, the restaurants, and the list goes on and on. But Ocean City does have interesting movie theaters (after all, everyone's gotta watch movies, right?), and the Fox Gold Coast recently received a luxury renovation that visitors will be sure to appreciate!
According to the Maryland Coast Dispatch, Fox Theatres and Bayside Limited Partnership let it be known that the renovation of Fox Gold Coast was completed on August 2. The theater was revamped with new floors, fixtures, tiles, and bathrooms. But the best part of this renovation is the new luxury seating -- heated recliners that come with tray tables for whatever movie-goers bring.
Movie lovers will be able to watch new films in customized comfort with a simple click on an electronic control. The new seating also brought another change to the theater: People will now be able to reserve the specific seat they want ahead of time, so they don't have to wait in line and take whatever's available in a free-for-all.
Fox Gold Coast is located at 11301 Coastal Highway in Ocean City (Gold Coast Mall). Tickets run $15 (General), $13.50 (Seniors), or $11 (Children). For more information, check out their website.
