Sip your fave beverage while learning about the wonders of animal conservation.
The Maryland Zoo is bringing back their annual "Sip & Stroll" happy hour for the fall season. Throughout the months of September and October, guests can experience an informative guided tour while sipping their beverage of choice. Ever wanted an after-hours experience of the zoo and its animals? Then you've come to the right place!
On select evenings, from 5 to 7 p.m., groups of 20 will get the 411 on animal conservation and the zoo's role in preserving diverse species. Each night will feature a special theme, from the zoo's history as a conservational institution to sex in the animal kingdom. Of course there'll be drinks, and attendees will receive a boozy beverage at each stop, as well as a complimentary meal from food trucks like B'More Greek and Dough Boy Fresh.
Tickets cost $65 per person and feature a guided tour, three alcoholic beverages, a food truck meal, and exclusive access to the zoo habitats. Masks are a requirement to attend and must be worn at all times (except when you eat, obviously).
Many activities have been restricted to prevent the spread of COVID-19, but thankfully an event like this—outside, in small groups—makes it pretty easy to social distance while celebrating the spirit of the season!
The zoo notes that tours will occur rain or shine, so make sure to be prepared for the weather ahead. Guests will also be informed the day of whether the event will take place, and refunds will be honored in the case of a cancellation.
Since group sizes will be quite small, tickets are sure to go fast. So reserve them today! You can find the details here.
