Once upon a time there was a golf tournament at Saddleback Golf Club in Firestone, Colorado.
A man was golfing in the Saddleback tournament, and his wife was driving the golf cart -- against the husband's better judgment and warnings. “She told him, ‘The only reason I came to this golf tournament was to drive the cart,' and he told her, ‘Well, you’re not a very good driver,’” Josh Clay, Saddleback's facilities maintenance manager, relayed to 9News. The woman proceeded to get behind the wheel anyway, and at Hole No. 4, accidentally confused the brake with the gas pedal, ultimately driving the cart right into the lake -- and (unfortunately) proving her husband correct. Now golfers at Saddleback's Hole No. 4 are forever reminded of that fateful day with a sign stating these words:
On this exact spot in the afternoon of August 5th, 2017 a marital dispute was won by the husband. At 12:58 he told his wife she shouldn’t drive the golf cart because she is a horrible driver. 5 minutes later, she accidentally drove cart #42 into the lake.”The husband and wife involved in the accident remain unnamed, and there's no word on whether they've made up. The End.
