SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — The Springfield Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) has rebranded itself as Visit Springfield. The CVB has been promoting the Ozarks for about 45 years. Through its website, Springfieldmo.org or through its social media pages, I Love Springfield, MO! , the CVB has shared numerous events, notable restaurants and destinations that are unique to the region. After a year’s worth of research with the community, the rebrand became official this year. “Our name clearly aligns with what we do: driving economic activity to our community by inviting others to visit our city of the Ozarks, showcasing all the area has to offer, and telling the stories of our region’s people and places that make our city naturally original,” said a post on Springfieldmo.org. Although the name has changed, the not-for-profit organization kept its mission to enhance the community’s vitality through tourism. Visit Springfield president and CEO Mark Hecquet stopped by the history radio program, Sharing Stories of the Crossroads, on KICK 92.3 FM this week to talk about the rebranding. You can find the interview in the video above.
