The guessing game is over; it’s official: Trader Joe’s will open a second location in the Town Center area of Virginia Beach.

Nakia Rohde, public relations manager for the California-based grocery store chain, wrote in an email on Tuesday that there are plans to open a new store in the city, though she added that she does not yet have a location or date for when it might open.

But an ABC notice of application for a Trader Joe’s at 220 Constitution Drive in Virginia Beach was listed on Feb. 17 in the legal notices of The Virginian-Pilot.

The store will lease a 14,000-square-foot space previously occupied by Bed Bath & Beyond near the Regal movie theater at Columbus Village.

Trader Joe’s operates a store on Laskin Road in the Hilltop area more than 6 miles from Town Center.
