In announcing the After Hours Til Dawn 2025 Tour , The Weeknd made a few promises: never-before-seen production and a setlist with tracks from "Hurry Up Tomorrow," "After Hours" and "Dawn FM" as well as all the hits from his extensive catalog. The production, as it turns out, featured many elements that had, in fact, been seen the last time he played State Farm Stadium in 2022 . But the setlist lived up to The Weeknd’s promise on opening night of the 2025 tour at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona , after opening sets by Playboi Carti and Mike Dean on Friday, May 9. The tour is in support of "Hurry Up Tomorrow," the final chapter in a trilogy, following "After Hours" (2020) and "Dawn FM" (2022). Released in January, it became The Weeknd’s fourth release to top the Billboard album charts. There were plenty of songs from the trilogy to go around on Friday, starting with two songs from “Hurry Up Tomorrow.” But he also treated fans to such career-defining classics as “Starboy,” “Die for You,” “Can’t Feel My Face” and “The Hills,” holding back on “Blinding Lights” until nearly the end of the concert for obvious reasons.
