From 116 nominations down to four, the Williamsburg Library keeps hanging in there!

And then there were four. Thanks to your votes, the Williamsburg Library has made it to the Final Four in the grueling competition for the prestigious Leslie Knope Award for Best Public Library! Voting continues this week to narrow the pool of spectacular U.S. libraries down to two. Willaimsburg will be facing off against the public library in Baytown, Texas. Read all about the Williamsburg library and why it's so deserving of this award, then click here to vote before midnight on Friday, Feb. 23!  The other Final Four matchup is between Pueblo, CO, and Lawrence, KS. Named after the lovable Leslie Knope character in the hit NBC sit-com “Parks and Rec,” the Leslie Barbara Knope Award is presented by the Engaging Local Government Leaders (ELGL) organization. Last year, the award honored the best city hall, but this year they’ve turned their attention to best public libraries. Have you voted? Have you personally experienced the magic of Williamsburg's library? Tell us why you love your local library in the comments below!

Have you been to the Virginia Safari Park? It would make a great family activity this spring!
