On October 3, it was announced that Tony Award-winning Broadway producer Jed Bernstein will be the new producing director at Theatre Aspen.

Jed Bernstein, formerly the Lincoln Center's president, is now the new producing director at Theatre Aspen. Broadway World announced the news on Tuesday, October 3. Bernstein is a Tony Award-winning Broadway producer, performing arts center executive, arts education advocate, and now a new member to the Theatre Aspen team. Kimberly Schlosser, Chair of the Board of Theatre Aspen, had high praise for the new producing director. "To attract someone of Jed's diverse background and stature is a real coup for our institution." She continued,
It is a testament to Theatre Aspen's national reputation for highly quality, ambitious theatre, and is sure to guarantee an exciting future."
For over 20 years, Bernstein was a leader in theatrical production, arts and venue management/administration, and marketing and promotion. He was responsible for the launch of key initiatives to the Lincoln Center's vision, which included new education and community outreach programs. Before he joined the Lincoln Center team, Bernstein was a Tony Award-winning Broadway producer through Above the Title Entertainment Productions -- a theatre production company he started. Bernstein has said in regards to his new title, "I am excited to have the opportunity to integrate this institution every more deeply into the cultural fabric of this magnificent community."
