An event this Wednesday aims to connect Richmond residents looking for work with local community organizations. The free Employment Connections event is taking place at the Brighouse Library inside the Richmond Cultural Centre on May 28 from 2:30 to 5 p.m. for individuals looking for work or considering a career change. There will be access to a wide range of employment-related programs and supports, including job search assistance, volunteer or work experience opportunities and skill upgrading or training programs. On-site organizations will be able to answer questions and guide job seekers toward resources for their individual needs. Visitors can also have 10-minute mock interviews and quick resume reviews at the event. Employment Connections is a joint initiative with the City of Richmond, Richmond Public Library and a group of Richmond-based organizations. Registration is encouraged but not required. For more information, registration and a list of participating organizations, visit the city's website . 📣 Got an opinion on this story or any others in Richmond?
