Congratulations, Broncos! We're tied with the Vikings for first in number of NFL player arrests since 2000.
After the season the Broncos just had, we'll look for wins wherever we can find them. But the NFL Player Arrest Database? That might be taking it a wee bit too far. Since 2000, the Denver Broncos' players have netted 49 police arrests, more than doubling that of our arch nemesis, the Oakland Raiders, who had 22 player arrests. I have to say, the Raiders' low number surprised me, given that they're -- well -- the Raiders. They're the bad guys, and we're supposed to be the good guys. But I digress. The most recent addition to the database is Broncos wide receiver Carlos Henderson, who was charged with marijuana possession after being pulled over for a routine traffic stop in Louisiana. Recreational marijuana use is illegal in that state. [caption id="attachment_31508" align="aligncenter" width="300"]

Before Henderson, the most recent Bronco to be arrested was safety Will Parks, in March of last year, for domestic violence. Except for 2015, the team has had at least one arrest per year dating back to the beginning of the database, in 2000. There were five player arrests apiece in the years 2007, 2008, 2010, and 2013.
Remember the Von Miller of 2013? The hope of the Broncos' future, the much-hyped linebacker crushed all of us when he made some stupid decisions, resulting in two arrests within the span of a month. His offenses were related to driving without a license and failing to appear in court over a previous traffic violation.

At the time, I joked with my friends that if Von was in need of a personal assistant to help him remember appointments and get the license reinstatement process started, I was more than available (for a hefty fee, of course). But with or without my help, it seems as if Von has since grown up and gotten his life in order! Thank goodness. #SuperBowlVIP #weloveVon
The Minnesota Vikings are currently tied with Denver for the most number of player arrests. The Cincinnati Bengals come in second place with 44.
