Massachusetts is so gorgeous that it can be hard to choose just one place that shows its beauty. Luckily, one publication picked out two places in Massachusetts to demonstrate just that.
House Beautiful , a home magazine owned by Hearst Digital Media, ranked the 35 most beautiful places in the United States that must be visited, and two places in the Commonwealth were placed on the list. "Whether you’re looking for a low-key local escape or an elaborate road trip, some of the most beautiful places in the U.S. are closer than you think and incredibly memorable," the magazine said. Here are the Massachusetts gems that made the rankings.
Trinity Church, Boston, MA ranked 8th most beautiful
Breaking into the top 10 most beautiful places to visit in the country was the
Trinity Church in Boston. This Copley Square destination should not be confused with the
New York Trinity Church , where founding father Alexander Hamilton is buried. "Built in 1877 by architect H.H. Richardson, Boston's Trinity Church is a towering example of Neo-Romanesque architecture that spawned a legion of copycats," the entry on Trinity Church said. You can find the Trinity Church at
206 Clarendon St., Boston. "Boston is home to plenty of storied sites and beautiful buildings, and the historic district is definitely a must-see while there," the entry said.
Oak Bluffs, Martha's Vineyard, MA ranked 29th most beautiful
Martha's Vineyard feels like an obvious choice, but sometimes the obvious choice is the right choice. With its scenic views, fresh, coastal air and delightful choice of cuisine on the island itself, it just feels right. In this case, the magazine specifically is steering people toward
Oak Bluffs. "Oak Bluffs is a quaint little town on the island of Martha's Vineyard, and it's a must-see for those who love admiring colorful cottages and spending time on the beach," the entry on Martha's Vineyard said. "The town also has its fair share of charming storefronts, waterfront restaurants, and plenty of outdoor activities." You can check the
ferry schedule to sail to Martha's Vineyard to visit Oak Bluffs. "It's a beautiful little getaway for anyone who could use a break from real life," the entry said.
