Pizza is easy to love, whether it's a delivery dinner when you don't want to cook or party food to feed a crowd. It's great as a late-night snack or eaten cold for breakfast. Whether fancy, served at a sit-down Italian restaurant, paired with wine for a romantic date night or bought by the slice and eaten standing up on the street after a concert, pizza always hits the spot.

There's a pizza for every taste, with New York-style, Chicago deep dish and traditional Napoletana, served with a near-infinite number of topping possibilities, from pepperoni to pineapple, pickles to potatoes.

And everyone's got a favorite.

But who makes the best pizza pie in metro Phoenix?

The Phoenix Pizza Poll launched last week, in which a whopping 25 contenders went head-to-head in a reader poll to determine who makes the best pizza in metro Phoenix. It was a real nail-biter, with over 5,000 votes placed.

The top three vote-getters have made it to the second round of the Phoenix Pizza Poll. Voting is open until midnight on Sunday, June 22. The winner of the Phoenix Pizza Poll will be announced on June 24.

But first, let's meet the contenders.
