This one-of-a-kind facility features over 600 railroad-related artifacts, so any train-loving friends or family members are sure to love it! The highlight of this facility is its massive 5,500 sqft operational model railroad. It was called “the finest model railroad I’ve ever seen” by the senior editor of Model Railroader Magazine. This is a great place to kill some time and learn about the railroad system, and a really fun thing to do in Greeley!

If you’re looking for something outdoorsy to do in Greeley, then the Poudre River Trail is the place for you! The 21 miles of well-maintained paved pathways are perfect for running, walking, cycling, rollerblading, and more. The trail is open to the public and includes informational signs about many of the historical sites and educational opportunities along the trail.

Greeley History Museum
[gallery size="large" ids="7811,7812,7813"]
This museum showcases and preserves Greeley’s history through exhibitions, programs, permanent collections and research. It includes three floors of both permanent and changing galleries. The building, which was built in 1929 for the Greeley Tribune, is included on the National Register of Historic Places and became the home of the museum in 2005. My personal favorite exhibit here is the one on the lower floor dedicated to the history of printing. This is a great stop for a rainy day, or whenever you’re feeling inclined to learn more about our history!
WeldWerks Brewing Co.
[gallery size="large" ids="7814,7815,7816"]
WeldWorks is a craft brewery focused on bringing people together over well-crafted innovative beer. Stop in to check out their taproom and take advantage of some of their weekly specials! Monday is All-Day Happy Hour, Wednesday is Live Trivia, Thursday features The Good Stuffed food truck, and Friday and Saturday both feature live music and food trucks! If you and your friends are legal, this is a great way to spend the evening. Come try out some unique brews in a fun and cozy environment.
Antique Washing Machine Museum
[gallery size="large" ids="7817,7818,7819"]
This is easily the most unique thing to do in Greeley. The Washing Machine Museum is a really interesting way to see the history of the washing machine. Since he retired Lee Maxwell has been collecting these antiques, and he now has hundreds of examples of old washing machines. He also knows about as much as anyone can about antique clothes cleaning devices! He’ll happily answer any questions you may have about his hobby, and can even show you how they all work! If you’re looking for a truly unique thing to do in Greeley, this is a destination you can’t miss!
