MISSOURI — Food writers named the best steakhouse in Missouri according to the restaurant’s reviews, awards, and first-hand experience.

According to Lovefood.com, near the heart of Kirkwood, Citizen Kane’s Steak House was crowned the best in Missouri for their selection of steaks.

“No fuss, just steak — that should be the slogan at Citizen Kane’s,” the food writers said.

The steakhouse is found in an old Victorian home and has been serving upscale dinners since 1993. Some of their entrees include the New York Strip, ribeye, pork chop and filet mignon.

In Illinois, Penumbra in Chicago was crowned the best in the state for its steaks and seafood prepared with latin-inspired flavors, according to Love Food. Penumbra was also noted as Yelp’s number one steakhouse in the U.S.
