Vince Gilligan , known for his work on acclaimed shows like
Breaking Bad and
Better Call Saul, was honored with the WGA West’s Paddy Chayefsky Laurel Award for Television Writing Achievement on February 15, 2025. The show was announced in 2022 and was filmed from February to September 2024. Interestingly, it is set in Albuquerque, New Mexico, the same city where
Breaking Bad and
Better Call Saul also take place. However, Gilligan earlier teased that the new show will be nothing like his earlier AMC shows as it does not involve crime or drugs. He also revealed Rhea Seehorn will be playing a pretty different character from Kim Wexler, the role she played in

Produced by High Bridge Productions, Bristol Circle Entertainment, and Sony Pictures Television, the show is expected to premiere on Apple TV+ sometime in 2025.
