Three individuals were injured during a late-night shooting at a Westside Jacksonville apartment complex, according to law enforcement officials. The incident took place around 11 p.m. yesterday, at the 1200 block of Labelle Street. All three victims are currently recovering from non-life-threatening injuries, as reported by Action News Jax .

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office stated that upon arrival, officers discovered a male teenager with gunshot wounds. In an effort to quickly address the situation, two additional victims were taken to the hospital by private vehicle. First Coast News reports that the confrontation occurred when the three were walking through the apartment complex and were approached by several unknown individuals, which escalated into at least two assailants opening fire. The victims were unable to provide a description of the suspects to the police.

Late into the investigation, detectives from the JSO Crime Scene Unit thoroughly processed the crime scene, while Violent Crime Detectives were actively canvassing the area for witnesses and surveillance video. The ongoing investigation is focused on gathering more information to identify the individuals responsible for the shooting.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office has not yet apprehended the gunmen and is currently seeking the public's help in locating them. "During the confrontation, at least two people opened fire," said an officer, a point that News4Jax highlighted in their coverage of the incident.
