Police has previously looked for Ancell under a home on Old Jacksboro Highway before giving up the search for the time. Wichita County Sheriff David Duke confirmed that the James V Allred Unit is sending out dogs to help search the area. According to Duke, investigators from the agency were gathering information on the suspect they were searching for and were waiting in the area when they spotted him. The suspect, who had at least one county warrant, took off running into the brush in the area, shedding his backpack and coat in the process. K9’s will use those items to help track the suspect down. A name is expected to be released soon. Legacy High School has also been cleared for “normal dismissal” per Duke. A trio of WFISD schools are in a secure status as law enforcement are engaged in a manhunt for an unnamed suspect. The Career Education Center, Legacy High School and Southern Hills Elementary are in secure statuses. WFISD said in a statement that they will provide more information as it becomes available, and News Channel 6 is working to learn more.
