Take a trip down memory lane with these classic (albeit probably forgotten) 90s cartoons

  1. Anamainacs

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CWnWwN1z_UM&w=560&h=315 First Aired: 1993 A.K.A Steven Spielberg Presents Animaniacs. This show combined wit, slapstick humor, songs, and education (kinda). It was a sketch show that brought tons of characters to light. Bringing us the classic "helloooooo nurse" line, as well as other classic one liners.
  2. The Tick

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-j3d8-cpbpg&w=560&h=315 First Aired: 1994 Absurd and in major parody style The Tick took on classic comic book motifs in traditional 90s fashion. Though it ended after three seasons, it was promptly followed by a live action adaptation starring Patrick Warburton.
  3. Kablam!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gGEHR4c3GJE&w=420&h=315 First Aired: 1996 Kablam! Is probably my absolute favorite childhood show. Kablam! brought together all the weirdness and at times creepy-ness of Nickelodeon in the 90s. Mixing stop motion, claymation, animation, and pretty much everything else, Kablam! had it all. I specifically remember the first Life with Loopy episode, that honestly, gave me a nightmare or two.
  4. Batman: Animated Series

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-XJ3HJXxDwc&w=420&h=315 First Aired: 1995 Beautifully dark, crime-fighting, Batman-ie goodness. When Harley Quinn was fully clothed and had a genuine Jersey accent. Not to mention, the B-man didn't need a padded suit to make him look burley and intimidating. *sigh* the good ol' days.
  5. Angry Beavers

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CW_B4KB0wYs&w=560&h=315 First Aired: 1997 Another personal favorite of mine. Beaver brothers Daggett and Norbert leave home to gain their independence. Hilarity ensues as hyper-active and immature Daggett and laid back and brilliant Norbert constantly bump heads.
  6. Aaahh!! Real Monsters

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8VfPz-2V8PU&w=560&h=315 First Aired: 1994 I'll admit it, I was a creepy little kid. I loved anything weird, strange, and dark. Aaahh!! Real Monsters was an awesome show about four monster buddies training at the Monsters Academy.
  7. Cousin Skeeter

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AQCDxE7eFfA&w=420&h=315 First Aired: 1998 Alright so not technically a cartoon, but Cousin Skeeter was a puppet so it gets a half-count. Bobby's (the real person) life get turned upside down when Skeeter comes to live with him and his family. Learning life lessons and how to grow up along the way, it was a pretty great show for its star being a puppet.
  8. Tiny Toons Adventures

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3EiEX4tmCfY&w=560&h=315 Another Steven Spielberg Presents. Tiny Toons bounced around a few channels during its time, but originally aired on FOX. Tiny Toons followed the "new generation" of looney toons through their wacky adventures at Acme Looniversity.
  9. Angela Anaconda

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZTbPAmVzlpM&w=420&h=315 First Aired (as its own show): 1999 Now a lot of people say this show horrified them as children, but I loved it. Angela Anaconda had the strangest cut-out stop-motion animation that just spoke to me. It actually started as a sketch on Kablam! Forget the internet haters and reminisce with me.
  10. Pepper Ann

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OcajSzQX4k8&w=420&h=315 First Aired: 1997 Designed to be a "different kind" of girl show Pepper Ann was actually the first Disney cartoon produced by a woman. A typical look into the life of a 7th grade girl trying to "figure it all out."

Ah 90s cartoons. A time at the cusp of minimal filtering and sliding in jokes meant more for parents than kids. Hope you liked the trip down memory lane. Now I hope you realize why millennials are ever so slightly messed up.
