The University of Hawai‘i baseball team’s series opener against Wichita State has been delayed by one hour due to a delay in the Shockers’ uniforms and equipment arrival.

First pitch is now set for 7:35 p.m. at Les Murakami Stadium. Gates will open one hour before first pitch at 6:35 p.m. All other games in the four-game series remain on schedule.

The television broadcast on Spectrum Sports will start at 7:00pm with the “Game On” pregame show which features KHON2’s Sam Spangler.

Sebastian Gonzalez (0-0, 13.50 ERA) is slated to start on the mound for the Rainbow Warriors as they look to extend their dominance at home.

One of the hottest teams in college baseball, Hawai‘i has carried its late-season momentum from 2024 into the new year. The Rainbow Warriors enter the series with both the nation’s longest active home winning streak (15 games) and longest overall winning streak (9 games), dating back to last season.

UH has also won 20 of its last 21 games, and its current 15-game home streak is the program’s longest since 1992 (20 games).
