Love Halloween but can't handle the thrill of a truly scary horror film? No worries! There are PLENTY of horror comedies out there -- Here are our top 10!

Grab some popcorn and curl up with one of these hilarious horror flicks! Tucker & Dale Vs. Evil (2010) Rated: R IMDb Rating: 7.6/10 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l1t8OZn_uhE Lovable hillbillies take a much-needed cabin vacation -- only to meet up with some strange "college kids." The two are judged as murderous killers, and hilarity, shenanigans, and tons of self-inflicted deaths ensue. Beetlejuice (1988) Rated: PG IMDb Rating: 7.5/10 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GuyNP-XyFHs How do you not know about this movie? I don't need to describe it to you or tell you why it's great. It just is. We all know it. The Addams Family (1991) Rating: PG-13 IMDb Rating: 6.8/10 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LyyJYyIexq8 A personal favorite of mine. Some con artists plan to rob possibly the best family in American history using an accomplice who claims to be their long-lost uncle. The Addams Family is notoriously a creepy bunch, but their love, praise for the strange and unique, and family loyalty is unprecedented. Watch this if you want tons of laughs with those Halloween vibes sprinkled in.

Evil Dead II: Dead by Dawn (1987) Rated: R IMDb Rating: 7.8/10 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6lM3NPeEG24 Yeah, I skipped the first one. Sue me -- this is my list. Although the movies are basically the exact same, I saw the second one first, so it goes on my list. We revisit Ash and his demon-killing techniques, as he fights off more dangers and gets sucked into a portal to another dimension. Zombieland (2009) Rated: R IMDb Rating: 7.7/10 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8m9EVP8X7N8 Perfect movie for some laughs and learning the rules of surviving the zombie apocalypse. While a shy student (Jesse Eisenberg) is trying to reach his family in Ohio, he meets up with a gun-toting, truck-driving tough guy (Woody Harrelson) in search of the last Twinkie. Throw in some scheming sisters and a LOT of zombie killing, and you have yourself a winning combination. Cabin in the Woods (2012) Rated: R IMDb Rating: 7/10 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Itzujv4JwU This movie really surprised me. Staged like so many cabin-themed horror movies before it, a group finds themselves being chased down by a family of murderous zombies, only to find out their group is a part of something much bigger -- and more sinister. Shaun of the Dead (2004) Rated: R IMDb Rating: 8/10 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LIfcaZ4pC-4 This hilarious comedy is a fairly accurate glimpse into what the zombie apocalypse may be like for some of us. A lot of brain smashing, half-baked plans, and trying to save your loved one. All with a resounding theme of friendship and blood-and-gore.

Young Frankenstein (1974) Rated: PG IMDb Rating: 8/10 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZL9Q_0JtMNA "That's Franken-(steen)." With writing and fabulous acting by Gene Wilder, Young Frankenstein is 100-percent a horror comedy MUST. Plot: An American grandson of the infamous mad scientist is struggling to prove he is not as crazy as people think. He travels to Transylvania and discovers the process for reanimating dead bodies. What We Do in the Shadows (2014) Rated: R IMDb Rating: 7.6/10 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IAZEWtyhpes This documentary-style movie is a perfect mix of vampires and laughs. The group of vampires share a house in Wellington, New Zealand. You get an inside glimpse of the true lives of the modern vampire. Hocus Pocus (1993) Rated: PG IMDb Rating: 6.7/10 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2UUMsInka2s After three long centuries, three witch sisters are resurrected by a virgin on Halloween night. It's up to two teens, a little girl, and an immortal cat to stop the sisters and put an end to their children-napping plot for good. With an all-star cast of Bette Midler and Sarah Jessica Parker, this movie is an absolute Halloween CLASSIC. A few spooks, many laughs, and even a musical number -- what more could you ask for?? Bonus Video: ThanksKilling (2008) Rated: Unrated IMDb Rating: 4.3/10 *Warning, strong language* https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nPlg9U5YbY4 To smoothly transition yourself from Halloween themes to Thanksgiving vibes, check out ThanksKilling. Honestly, I'm surprised IMDb gave the movie 4.3 and not less. You've heard of B movies? This is probably a Z-movie. Strong language, immediate nudity, and raunchy jokes swarm this film. Made on a budget of only $3,500, it goes without saying that it shows. What's it about? According to IMDB: "A homicidal turkey axes off college kids during Thanksgiving break." Classic. What are your favorite horror comedies? Did we miss any good ones? Let us know in the comments!
