The Illinois Secretary of State’s Office has announced the Top 10 designs to possibly replace the current Illinois flag.

About five thousand different designs were submitted to a flag design commission, which met Monday and whittled that down to 10.

Starting January 1st, the public will be able to weigh in at the Secretary of State’s office website. People will be able to pick from among the new designs, or three former designs, including the current design.
