TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Spring is a busy season for activities and exhibits at the Topeka Zoo.

Cynthia McCarvel, development director for the zoo, stopped by Eye on Northeast Kansas to look ahead at what’s in store.

The zoo will host and Earth Day Celebration Saturday, April 19, featuring a writing and art contest.

One of the zoo’s biggest annual fundraisers, ‘Roar & Pour’ is set for Saturday, April 26. Early bird tickets are on sale now.

The zoo will also present a new exhibit, ‘Dinosaurs Alive, arriving May 23.
