SPRINGFIELD, Ore. – A motor vehicle crash that happened earlier this morning has left more than 1,000 Springfield Utility Board customers without power, the utility provider said.

The utility provider said that work crews have been dispatched but there is currently no estimated time for power to be restored. Customers should plan on being without power for most of the day, SUB officials said.

Authorities said that the outage has affected traffic lights and commuters should use alternate routes.
