If you've been waiting for your big break, hurry and send your headshots in for a chance to play a part in a Butch Cassidy train robbery re-enactment in Durango, June 25.
Shooting for the Travel Channel's show "Expedition Unknown," TV crews are looking to recreate the true-to-life Wilcox Train Robbery orchestrated by Butch Cassidy's gang in 1899. Though the robbery itself (which swiped $50,000 in cash and gold) took place in Wyoming, the Travel Channel will be shooting train robbery re-enactment at the train depot in Durango, Colorado. [gallery columns="2" size="full" ids="17896,17894"] Casting directors are seeking:- a tough but gentlemanly outlaw type, preferably in his 20s or 30s with a dark complexion
- five men for the roles of cowboys, sheriff, and conductor
- between two and four women for the roles of innocent bystanders
Experience with horses and guns is definitely a plus, and era-appropriate period costumes are appreciated but not required. There are currently no details on pay for the Travel Channel gig, but there would most certainly be bragging rights, yes?
Do you fit the bill? Would starring in a train robbery re-enactment be a dream come true for you? Send your resume, headshots, and period costume photo (if applicable) to [email protected]. But you need to hurry because filming takes place in Durango on Sunday, June 25.
