Travel + Leisure recently revealed its top fall vacations for various travelers, including those looking for less crowded destinations, solo travelers, and more. And, to no one's surprise, multiple Colorado towns have been named on the magazine's lists of the best places to see fall colors and best places to visit during the fall season.

The colors are expected to peak at higher elevations starting this week, and Denver is estimated to see the leaves changing colors in early October.

Travel + Leisure named Telluride one of the world's best places with fewer crowds and optimal views. "Early fall is ideal if you're looking for colorful foliage in a breathtaking mountain setting. Visit in September or early October to take full advantage of the season's offerings," said the magazine.

Aspen was among the best places in the country for views of the colorful fall leaves. "Aspen, Colorado, is named for its gorgeous aspen trees that turn the perfect yellow-gold in fall," said Travel + Leisure.

Snowmass Village was listed as one of the magazine’s best small towns in the U.S. to see fall foliage. "Sitting at the base of the Rocky Mountains, the village is known for its year-round recreation and ubiquitous aspen trees, which make a stunning (albeit short) shift from fluttering green to bright yellow and orange with hints of red," wrote the magazine.

And finally, Colorado Springs was named one of the best places in the world to travel to this November. "About 70 miles south of Denver, Colorado Springs is a beautiful November destination, with early winter skiing at some resorts, hiking in the Garden of the Gods, and more," Travel + Leisure said.

If you're looking for more fall adventures, here's a guide on when Colorado leaves will begin changing colors.
