With Thanksgiving just a few weeks away, the National Harbor kicks off its holiday festivities with a tree lighting, fireworks, and more on November 12.

Beginning on November 12, the National Harbor on the waterfront will be hosting a variety of holiday activities and celebrations through December 23. The weeks-long festivities are set to start with a tree lighting and fireworks display, as well as live music by Radio King Orchestra, card making for deployed military, a holiday movie screening, and a chance for kiddos to meet Santa Claus at the Harbor’s carousel. Starting every Saturday from November 12 through Christmas, the Harbor will feature street performers, visits with Santa Claus, screenings of holiday movies, and musical performers on the main stage of the waterfront plaza. Holiday activities will also be taking place at the Gaylord Hotel; kids will have the chance to go ice skating, as well as enjoy scenes from "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer," as they walk through two million pounds of carved ice.
