On Wednesday afternoon, the eastbound lanes of I-70 at US 6 near Golden were closed as a semi-truck carrying lemons had caught fire. It's not clear what caused the fire, says Colorado State Patrol. The accident occurred around 3:30 p.m.
The driver was not injured in the fire.

Cleanup took several hours, with the lanes reopening around 6 p.m. on Wednesday evening.
The location of this accident is nearby the 2019 crash that involved a semi-truck and 28 vehicles—4 people were killed in the crash. The crash forced closures and needed extensive bridge repairs.
