A shooting in Old North St. Louis resulted in injuries to a juvenile and a woman following a verbal altercation that escalated. The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department's District 4 is currently investigating the incident that unfolded yesterday afternoon, near the intersection of N. 20th Street & N. Florissant Avenue. According to the official police report , the shooting occurred around 4:45 p.m. Amid the escalation of the argument, gunfire erupted, striking two individuals who were not directly involved in the initial dispute. A 30-year-old woman, who was walking her dog nearby, was injured in the leg, while a 13-year-old boy was shot in the abdomen after exiting a vehicle close to the scene. Authorities have not yet released the identities of either victim. Emergency Medical Services (EMS) quickly responded to the scene and transported the woman to a nearby hospital. She has been reported to be in stable condition. In a separate effort, the juvenile was privately conveyed to the hospital, where he also remains in critical but stable condition. The investigation is ongoing as detectives continue to collect information related to the individuals involved. No arrests have been announced at this time.
