A shooting in Old North St. Louis resulted in injuries to a juvenile and a woman following a verbal altercation that escalated. The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department's District 4 is currently investigating the incident that unfolded yesterday afternoon, near the intersection of N. 20th Street & N. Florissant Avenue. According to the official police report , the shooting occurred around 4:45 p.m.

Amid the escalation of the argument, gunfire erupted, striking two individuals who were not directly involved in the initial dispute. A 30-year-old woman, who was walking her dog nearby, was injured in the leg, while a 13-year-old boy was shot in the abdomen after exiting a vehicle close to the scene. Authorities have not yet released the identities of either victim.

Emergency Medical Services (EMS) quickly responded to the scene and transported the woman to a nearby hospital. She has been reported to be in stable condition. In a separate effort, the juvenile was privately conveyed to the hospital, where he also remains in critical but stable condition.
