Two men police say were part of a drug-trafficking operation in Lancaster County and Maryland were arrested Tuesday as part of a combined operation by Maryland and Pennsylvania state police.

Alishawaine Monk, 34, of Port Deposit, Maryland, and Ronald Dugger, 45, of North East, Maryland, are charged with felony drug possession with intent to distribute, along with felony firearms violations and other related drug charges. Police say the pair were arrested at their residences.

"During the course of the investigation, in partnership with Pennsylvania State Police, troopers identified Monk and Dugger, and several locations connected to the drug trafficking organization," Maryland State Police said in a statement.

Police say they searched residences and storage units belonging to Monk and Dugger and seized 10 guns, one of which was stolen, as well as over 800 grams of cocaine and 300 grams of methamphetamine.

Monk and Dugger are currently being held without bail at the Cecil County Detention Center. Police say the investigation is ongoing. Preliminary hearings for Monk and Dugger are scheduled for May 12 and 16, respectively, in Cecil County, Maryland.

Maryland State Police did not immediately respond to a request for additional information Wednesday.
