Denver is definitely a super dog-friendly city. It's not uncommon to go to your favorite brewery and see it filled with pups (and for some reason lately, children. I literally saw a child's birthday party at a brewery recently...). It's so nice that so many places allow dogs! But, what are the best dog-friendly bars in Denver? We've rounded up a list of some great spots to check out!
Be sure to visit the bars' websites or contact them directly to confirm their policies regarding dogs.
7 Dog-Friendly Bars in Denver:
Improper City
Improper City is an awesome bar for a lot of reasons, one of them being that dogs are welcome in the outside area! Improper has an awesome outdoor space, which is especially great for hanging out when the weather is warm. Beyond being dog-friendly, it also has food trucks and is a great spot for co-working. (There's even a private booth to take calls.) They do serve alcohol, but they also have kombucha, coffee, and tea. This place is pretty popular, so it can get crowded.
4 Noses
4 Noses is very family-friendly, with plenty of dogs and kids having a good time(at least in the Park Hill location). They have two locations in Denver, both of which allow dogs on the outdoor patio. According to their FAQ, dogs may go inside while you are ordering or using the bathroom. Be sure your pup is well-behaved and kept on a short leash! In addition to delicious beer, 4 Noses also offers NA options, such as Hop Water.
Prost
The beautiful patio space at Prost is often full of doggies! They also offer lots of water bowls, which is great for thirsty pups on hot days.
The Monkey Bar
The Monkey Bar has a spacious back patio and allows well-behaved dogs. They also make their own pickle vodka, which is super cool. (But not for dogs.)
Denver Beer Co.
Denver Beer Co. has five locations in the Denver area. The one in Arvada has been specifically noted as being great for dogs, but they are all dog-friendly! In 2018, the Arvada location earned the Westword Reader's Choice Best Patio for Pets. The Platte Street location earned the same award in 2017 and 2020, so you really can't go wrong here. Of course, they serve up classic Denver favorites such as the Juicy Freak Juicy IPA and Princess Yum Yum.
Coal Mine Ave Brewing Co Craft Brewery & Dog Park
A brewery + a dog park in one is the perfect place for dog owners to bring their furry friends! Before your first visit, you must register your dog, which adds a level of safety and reassurance we can all appreciate and allows everyone to have a great time! And if you're interested in more dog parks in Denver, we've got the ultimate list!
Ugly Dog Sports Cafe
Not only is Ugly Dog Sports Cafe dog-friendly, but this spot even offers food for your pups!
Skiptown (Coming Soon!)
Skiptown currently has one location in North Carolina, with the Denver location (among others) set to open this summer! This spot is specifically tailored to dogs and their owners. Rather than a bar that allows dogs, it's a dog park that allows booze (and coffee). It's also off-leash. You can even bring your dog for grooming, training, and daycare. It's a dog owner's dream! Skiptown is membership-based, which ensures dogs are healthy, spayed/neutered, well-behaved, and up-to-date on vaccines.
Denver's affection for dogs is evident in its plethora of dog-friendly bars and breweries, making it a city where both humans and their four-legged friends can enjoy a good time together. Whether you're looking for a place to co-work with your furry companion, enjoy a family day out, or simply relax with a drink in hand and your dog at your feet, Denver's dog-friendly bars offer something for everyone. Remember to check each spot's current dog policy before you go, and prepare for a memorable outing in one of the most welcoming cities for dog lovers.
