Relaxing at a nice bar or brewery with a cold beer or fun cocktail hits the spot, especially on a Friday evening. It’s even better when there's a lovely outdoor space and the sun is shining brightly. But oftentimes, it's more about taking in the atmosphere and sipping on something delicious and refreshing than it is about getting drunk. While it is fun to get a nice buzz, sometimes, it's just not the move. Many people partake in dry months and some people are completely alcohol-free. I think it's really cool how non-alcoholic drinks are becoming more popular and common. We deserve to enjoy these environments without feeling like we need booze. We are in our health era! Let's take a look at some awesome spots to hang out in and around Denver with great vibes and non-alcoholic options.

7 of Denver's Best Spots for Enjoying Non-Alcoholic Beverages

Honey Elixir Bar

Honey Elixir Bar is a cute spot in RiNo that is actually focused on non-alcoholic drinks. These drinks are fun and tasty. Because they are not trying to mimic cocktails, Honey Elixir Bar uses the term "potions" rather than "mocktails". How fun! Beyond being delicious and fun to drink, the offerings here are geared toward rejuvenation and enhancing your experience. This adorable place serves various elixirs such as potions, Jun (low abv), and cacao drinks. While they do serve alcohol, the centerpiece of the menu is focused on their special non-alcoholic options, which I think is awesome. Check out the menu!

Try This: Honey Elixir Bar is located right by Transform RiNo, a fitness studio with awesome yoga classes. Treat yourself to a fun little drink after a sweaty workout!

Joyride Brewing Company

This spot is located near Sloan's Lake and boasts a lovely outdoor patio upstairs. Like many breweries these days, they also host different food trucks, making for a fun dinner option. In addition to their beer, they also serve NA beers and kombucha. The options will vary from day to day, so just ask your bartender about their current offerings. For a lake view, a good vibe, and alcohol-free options, check out Joyride.

New Terrain Brewing Company

I'm a big fan of this brewery in Golden. It's very popular for mountain bikers, as there is a trail in the area. (You can also hike there if you aren't a biker). The outdoor space is expansive and pleasant to hang out at. They also bring in food trucks. New Terrain offers NA options such as Athletic Brewing Beer, soda from Rocky Mountain Soda Co., Liquid Death Sparkling Water, and my absolute favorite local Kombucha brand (and it's on tap!), Tru Goodness. They also offer a cold brew if you're in the mood for a caffeine boost. You can bring your pups to the outdoor beer garden, as long as they're well-behaved, stay on a 4’ lead, and stay with you at your table.

Mr. Oso

This delicious Latin restaurant specializes in smoked meat tacos. While a marg is a classic pairing for tacos, they've also got you covered if you are avoiding booze, but still want a fun drink. I've been doing a dry month this May, and the last time I was there, I had a lovely agua fresca, the P.O.G. Fresca. Who needs alcohol? All you need are some refreshing fruity flavors to complement the tacos and guac (or whatever you decide to munch on)! There are two locations in Denver, one in RiNo and one in Wash Park.

Bad Habits Denver

Bad Habits is an LGBTQIA+ all-inclusive bar and eatery near City Park, with quite the mocktail menu! They're all about making everyone feel welcome and ensuring their patrons have a great time. The mocktails are named after television characters and actors, which adds a fun pop-culture touch. They also have a kitchen, fun events, two patios, and games.

Cerebral Brewing

Cerebral is an awesome brewery located in Congress Park, with a revamped Aurora location coming soon. They have food trucks, a great space, and of course, non-alcoholic options. They serve a few NA beers from Untitled Art as well as hop water.

Fellow Traveler

The website for Fellow Traveler notes that they provide, "vegan grub, sexy drinks, and good vibes". Their zero-proof menu includes wine, beer, delightful-sounding mocktails, and even a health shot. Whether you follow a plant-based diet or not, this Englewood cocktail bar is definitely worth adding to your list.

Whether you’re taking a break from alcohol, embarking on a dry month, or committed to an alcohol-free lifestyle, there are plenty of places to enjoy a refreshing drink without feeling left out. The Denver scene has something for everyone. So next time you're out and about, consider stopping by one of these spots to enjoy great vibes, delicious food, and refreshing non-alcoholic beverages. Cheers to health, inclusivity, and excellent drink alternatives!
