CLEMSON — Clemson basketball rose from No. 14 to No. 11 in the USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll released on Monday.

The Tigers (24-5, 16-2 ACC) earned 442 points and are the second highest-ranked ACC team, finishing behind No. w Duke and ahead of No. 13 Louisville. They beat Notre Dame 83-68 on Wednesday and defeated Virginia 71-58 on Saturday.

Clemson is tied for second in the ACC standings, one game away from first, and is set to make the NCAA tournament in back-to-back seasons for the first time under coach Brad Brownell . It secured one of the four ACC tournament byes too.

The Tigers are 21st in the NET rankings , which evaluates a team's record and March Madness résumé. They have two games left in the regular season: at Boston College (12-17, 4-14) on Wednesday (7 p.m. ET, ESPNU) and vs. Virginia Tech (13-16, 8-10) on Saturday (6 p.m. ET, ESPNU).

Auburn is the No. 1 team in the poll, earning 774 points and 30 first-place votes. Duke received one first-place votes.

The USA TODAY Sports Board of Coaches is made up of 31 head coaches at Division I institutions. All are members of the National Association of Basketball Coaches.

Clemson AP rankings update



In the AP poll, Clemson went from No. 13 to No. 11. It received 905 points and is the second-highest ranked ACC team, behind No. 2 Duke and ahead of No. 14 Louisville.

Auburn is No. 1 in the AP poll, too, earning 1,525 points and all first-place votes.
