It was a three-day festival that featured authors and artists from all over the nation sharing their work across many genres. “It’s important to celebrate books that tell the stories of Virginians from across the diaspora,” Virginia Center for the Book Director Kalela Williams said. “Virginians, remember, can come from anywhere. We also want to tell stories that are resonant to Virginians.” All books that were spoken about were able to be purchased at the event. For more information on the festival you can click here.
