SHENANDOAH COUNTY, Va. (WHSV) - Virginia State Police is investigating a single-vehicle tractor-trailer crash on Interstate 81, at the 293 mile marker in Shenandoah County.

A tractor-trailer was transporting cattle and traveling north on I-81, when it ran off the left side of the roadway and collided with a guardrail before overturning. The driver of the tractor-trailer was not injured.

Police responded to the call for the accident at 4:17 a.m., and the interstate was shut down in both directions for cleanup. VDOT has been assessing closures and detours,.
