A week for Tennessee's baseball team that began with a 9-6 home loss to Lipscomb ended with a 16-3 victory at Florida.

The Volunteers continue to rack up the lessons learned, and they are learning while mostly winning. The Vols went 2-2 last week, but their 2-1 showing in Gainesville resulted in a seventh consecutive Southeastern Conference series triumph.

"I've said this before, but I think this is a stronger group and a tougher group than we originally thought," Tennessee coach Tony Vitello said after Saturday's run-rule romp clinched the series. "They keep kind of pushing that line, which has been fun to watch."

Saturday's victory was the fifth for Tennessee via the run rule in league play, with the Vols having thumped Ole Miss twice and Auburn twice.
