HONOLULU (Island News) -- Wahlburgers has closed its one and only restaurant in Hawaii, which was located at the Ala Moana Center, a spokesperson for the Honolulu shopping mall confirmed to Island News.

Wahlburgers opened just two years ago on the mauka side of Ala Moana Center. It was the first Hawaii franchise of Wahlburgers, which is owned by actors Mark and Donnie Wahlberg with their brother Paul.

It’s not known why Wahlburgers closed and Island News has reached out to the company for comment.

Wahlburgers, which opened its first location in 2011 in Hingham, Massachusetts, has more than 50 locations.
