WASHINGTON, DC – Calvin Miler, a 25-year-old resident of Washington, D.C., was indicted on Wednesday by a grand jury in the Superior Court of the District of Columbia. The indictment charges Miler with one count of felony second-degree theft related to an incident on February 2, where he allegedly stole merchandise from a CVS store in Southwest Washington D.C.

Miler, who has a history of theft convictions, faces enhanced penalties due to his criminal record, including a mandatory minimum sentence of one year in jail. The indictment is part of a broader crackdown by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia, which has indicted 42 similar cases since September 1, 2023. His arraignment is scheduled for May 20 before a Superior Court judge.
