The Historic Elitch Theatre may be 126 years old, but you can still catch a flick there! This summer, the theater is offering outdoor and indoor movie screenings, all for only $5!
The Historic Elitch Theatre first opened its doors in 1891 and has been described as "one of the cradles of American dream." The 126-year-old theater is still in operation today. Mary Elitch was the first female zookeeper, the first woman to run a botanic garden, and one of the first women to own a theater in the United States. Both the movie theater and the popular amusement park in downtown Denver, Elitch Gardens, got their names from her. [caption id="attachment_17371" align="aligncenter" width="674"]
