WICHITA FALLS, Texas (KAUZ) - Fowler Elementary School fourth graders held their second annual living wax museum on Wednesday, May 14.

A total of 91 fourth grade students shared their various projects, each with a touch of history.

Students showcased their creativity through a timeline project. Fourth grade reading teacher Aubrey Salazar said that the students created the projects piece by piece.

“I think really all of it, they’ve worked so hard on this project and we spent probably the last month doing it so they’ve seen it being put through, they put it together piece by piece and so now it’s literally coming alive and they love it, and they’re so excited to show the rest of the school and their classmates,” Salazar said.

One fourth-grade student portrayed Whitney Houston and wrote a biography about her life.

Another teacher, Kendra Conner, said that a student’s father owns an RV business and came into possession of Whitney Houston’s tour bus, which inspired the student to bring the tour bus to Fowler Elementary.

“One of our student’s father, Mr. Curry, he has an RV business and he went to auction and they were saying that Whitney Houston’s RV was up for auction and they said she took it on tour, I believe in the late 80’s, so he bid on it and won it.“

Teachers said everyone enjoyed the museum and students learned a lot.
