In what may be considered the weakest batting performance in cricket history, Richmond's Fourth XI was bowled all out for just 2 runs by North London Cricket Club while chasing a grand total of 427 runs in a Middlesex County League fixture. The team managed only 2 runs in less than six overs when pursuing a target of 427.

Eight out of the ten Richmond batters were out for a duck. Only Tom Petrides was able to score a run and hit the scoreboard for the team; the other run stemmed from a wide.

Meanwhile, the North London Cricket Club demonstrated one of its greatest batting abilities by scoring 426 runs with only 6 wickets lost in their allotted 45 overs. Dan Simmons was the top scorer with 140 runs for the North London team. Other prominent scores were by Zach Levitt (43) and Nabil Abrahams (42). Matthew Rosson took 5 wickets for the North London team, and Tom Spawton took 3 wickets.

Though Richmond won the toss, the decision to field first backfired and turned the match into a most embarrassing affair for them.

"A lot of context but still not a result that we are proud of! Our 2's, 3's and 5's all won though," Richmond posted on X. Richmond's deputy chairman and head of cricket, Steve Deakin, stated that the team was facing issues due to a lack of enough team members. He added that "we had about 40 players unavailable from the 5 men's teams and 7 backed out on Thursday and Friday when a day is left for the match."

The captain of the North London North London Cricket Club, Tom Spawton, said the one run was a slight miss from their hand and it was technically possible for them to defeat them with 0 runs.

In history, the lowest score recorded was in the year 1810 with just 6 runs.
