With the Kansas City Chiefs just winning the AFC Championship on Sunday, speculation has risen about Patrick Mahomes' net worth.

The Chiefs defeated the Buffalo Bills for the fourth time in the playoffs since 2021, solidifying their dominance in the AFC. Mahomes delivered a standout performance with 245 yards passing and a touchdown through the air, as well as two more on the ground.

In 2020 Mahomes led the Chiefs to their first Super Bowl win since 1970, and in 2023 he led the team to another Super Bowl victory followed by a further win in 2024, leading to anticipation of an unprecedented "three-peat" on February 9.

The quarterback's appearance has seen his team win the Super Bowl three times in eight NFL seasons and he has already drawn loud comparisons to legend Tom Brady . Today, he is one of the highest-paid athletes in the world and is widely considered one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time.

According to Celebrity Net Worth, Mahomes has a net worth of $90 million and a salary of $40 million.

Newsweek emailed a spokesperson for Mahomes for comment on Monday outside of normal business hours.

Mahomes played quarterback for Texas Tech before being drafted as the 10th pick in the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft by the Kansas City Chiefs. He signed a four-year contract worth $16.4 million with a $10 million signing bonus, becoming their starting quarterback in 2018.

After Mahomes proved himself to be an incredible player, many predicted that Patrick's next contract would be unlike any in league history—and those predictions were right.

On July 6, 2020, it was reported that Patrick had signed a 10-year deal with the Chiefs worth "over $400 million in total." It was then revealed that the potential value of Mahomes' contract would be $503 million if completed. The contract included $477 million in "guaranteed mechanisms," with $140 million fully guaranteed against injury. He is the first athlete to have a half-a-billion-dollar contract in sports history.

That same year it was revealed that Mahomes had also acquired an ownership stake in the Kansas City Royals baseball team. Mahomes played baseball in high school and is the son of Major League Baseball pitcher Pat Mahomes. It's unclear how large of a stake he purchased.

Mahomes has garnered numerous endorsement deals throughout his career. Sponsors include Oakley, State Farm, Adidas, Head & Shoulders, and Helzberg Diamonds, as well as Hunt's after he revealed his fondness for ketchup.

As well as a successful football career, Mahomes has a thriving home life . He proposed to his high school sweetheart, Brittany Mahomes née Matthews, on September 1, 2020, the same day he received his Super Bowl ring. The couple married in 2022 and together they have three children.

They welcomed their third child , Golden Raye Mahomes, on January 12, 2025, sharing the news on Instagram. Their other two children are daughter Sterling Skye, 3, and son, Patrick "Bronze" Lavon Mahomes III , 2.

Long before Brittany Mahomes cheered on her husband in the NFL , she was rooting for him back in high school. In honor of the official kickoff of football season in August 2024, Patrick's mom, Randi Mahomes, shared a rare throwback photo of her and Brittany sitting in the bleachers during one of the quarterback's high school games in Texas.

"Tis the new season!!" Randi wrote alongside the picture she shared via her Instagram story on August 28. "This seems so long ago ... day one OG's."
