South Carolina women's basketball can take one step toward another Final Four in Friday's Sweet 16 game against 4-seed Maryland in Birmingham.

The Gamecocks managed through a tough first half to eliminate Indiana last weekend in the second round.

Friday's winner will face either North Carolina or Duke in the Elite Eight on Sunday. South Carolina beat Duke 81-70 on Dec. 5 in Columbia.

The Gamecocks and Terrapins played early last season, a 114-76 South Carolina win on Nov. 12, 2023.

South Carolina vs. Maryland will broadcast nationally on ESPN. Courtney Lyle and Carolyn Peck will call the game at Legacy Arena in Birmingham, with Kris Budden reporting courtside. Streaming options for the game include FUBO , which offers a free trial to new subscribers.

Look for a close, physical game where Staley's team is tested but prevails with fluid offense and disciplined defense.
