Florida baseball will try to strengthen its case to earn a No. 1 seed in the 2025 NCAA Tournament when it starts SEC Tournament play on May 20 against South Carolina. The No. 15 Florida Gators (37-19, 15-15 SEC) have won 17 of their last 22 games and six straight SEC series going into their matchup with the Gamecocks, successfully bouncing back from a 1-11 conference start. "To show this resilience in the SEC is pretty hard to do and something to my knowledge that has never been done," Florida infielder Bobby Boser said. UF swept South Carolina in a three-game series earlier this month, outscoring the Gamecocks by a combined margin of 39-8 over the three games from May 2-4. Florida baseball has won 13 SEC Tournaments in school history, with its last SEC Tournament crown coming in 2023. UF is vying for its 15th College World Series appearance in school history and 10th under current head coach Kevin O'Sullivan.
