The Ravens narrowly fell in the divisional playoffs in snowy Buffalo last season, dashing a chance at a Super Bowl appearance. It remains to be seen whether this will be another cold affair, but either way, it will be a hotly contested battle between two hard-nosed squads led by elite quarterbacks. Josh Allen edged out Lamar Jackson for MVP honors last year after knocking him out of the playoffs. That hasn't been forgotten. The Chiefs have won the AFC title five of the past six seasons. Even when they haven't looked as dominant, they still stand atop the conference. The Ravens have been close to beating them, including a toe away last year in the regular-season opener, but have won just one of six meetings between the two teams during the Jackson-Patrick Mahomes era. The Steelers had beaten the Ravens in eight of nine regular-season matchups dating back to 2020. Baltimore responded with a late-season blowout win, followed by a 28-14 thumping of its rivals in the divisional playoffs. The Ravens' 299 rushing yards that night at rocking M&T Bank Stadium left an imprint on the Steelers, who beefed up their defense this offseason with the intention of putting up a better fight. Pittsburgh will be looking for revenge. The Ravens-Bengals games last season were high scoring and high drama. Those two games combined for a total of 148 points. Baltimore pulled out the first, 41-38, in overtime and held on to win the second, 35-34, after a failed two-point conversion by the Bengals. Fans should get their popcorn ready for the Jackson-Joe Burrow duels.
