Denver is the top spot for dog owners looking for a home to accommodate their furry friends.

Is your dog's well-being a significant factor in moving to a new city? According to a survey conducted by Zillow and Rover, an increasing number of dog moms and dads are making moves based on their dog's needs. And Denver is the first city to come to mind for dog-friendly cities.

According to the survey, 24% of U.S. dog owners have moved since March 2020, and 62% said they would consider moving if that meant better accommodations for their dogs. Rover looked at new accounts on their platform to determine the top emerging dog-friendly cities for this year and compared those new to an area or those with a new dog. Zillow looked at rentals and listings with dog-friendly features to see where those amenities are rising.

Zillow and Rover considered this data to create a list of the top 15 dog-friendly cities of 2021. It's no surprise that Denver tops the list, mainly because of the number of new Rover accounts created there in the last year. With ample outdoor space, beautiful dog parks, and some of the tastiest pet-friendly restaurants and breweries around, why wouldn't you want to bring your four-legged companion to the Mile High City?

Orlando, Florida, and Anaheim, California, rounded out the top three. Charlotte, North Carolina, and Birmingham, Alabama took the fourth and fifth spots.

Would you decide on where to move next based on your pet's needs? Let us know in the comments.
